In the recent National Day Rally, Prime Minister Lee underlined the challenging environment that Singapore is operating in. Citing 3D printing, artificial intelligence and robots as examples, he foresees that technology may one day replace highly skilled white collar professionals. I strongly share PM Lee’s sentiments and I wish to caution Singapore’s enterprises and professionals against sticking to the status quo for the risk of technological and market disruptions lingers. Instead, Singaporeans must discard the old Industrial thinking and adopt an Innovator mindset in order to win in this new dynamic landscape.

In this article, I hope to excite everyone to become innovators and exploit the burgeoning billion dollar opportunities in these three clusters of innovative opportunities which I shall elaborate on.
